The Neighborhood

This historic bungalow is in the City of Decatur, a vibrant community inside the I-285 perimeter and just a few miles east of Atlanta. The City’s 4 square miles of “hipness” boast over 50 storefront shops, 80 mostly independent restaurants, and a calendar full of festivals.

The home is located in the Old Decatur Historic District, defined by the historic commission as “a pedestrian friendly, residential and commercial neighborhood and the oldest neighborhood within the city of Decatur. The district is locally designated and is nominated for National Register designation.” The neighborhood boasts tree-lined sidewalks and Folk Victorian, Queen Anne, Craftsman, and Colonial Revival style houses dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
